Phaeng Noi Waterfall
Situated within walking distance of the estate is the well-know Phaeng Noi Waterfall. One will understand why it attracts so many visitors year round owing to its outstanding natural beauty. It homes plenty of wild life such as tropical birds and monkeys. Residents on the estate have come to include a walk to "Phaeng" a few times in their week as part of their exercise ritual.
Beaches
One is really spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches - and they are all within a 5-25 minute driving distance of the estate. The island boasts over 30 truly magnificent sun-seeking spots that decorate the coastline. Fine white sand, turquoise blue sea, coconut trees, spectacular stone formations and hidden bays form part of the island's idyllic geography. Whether you're scouting for something vibey such as Haad Rin Beach or something more secluded and quiet like Than Sadet, there is a beach to pique every interest.
Shopping
When it comes to shopping for groceries and other consumable goods, the island doesn't leave one short for options. There are 3 big supermarkets, namely Lotus's, Big C and Makro where you'll be able to stock up on all household goods. These stores are about a 6 minute slow drive from the estate. Then there are the famous markets such as the fresh market in Thong Sala (the central point of the island) where you'll get your hands on some delicious fresh produce. Grocery shopping can even evolve into more of an engaging experience by visiting the Walking Street Market that runs every Saturday in the month. The island also offers many convenience stores like the 7/11 chainstores.
Medical Facilities
Koh Phangan offers an array of clinics for minor casualties.
It's main hospital, the First Western is a fully licensed and equipped hospital offering treatment for all emergency and medical cases from accidents to coughs and sneezes. With 24 Hour Ambulance, X-Ray, CT, MRI facilities, operating rooms and an ICU. You can be rest assured you''ll be taken care of. The medical staff are multilingual European who are fluent in English, German, Dutch as well as Thai. The hospital is about 5km/3.1miles from the estate.
Additionally, the Bangkok International Hospital is a highly respected hospital and and offers various services for their patients. They are connected to Bangkok International in Bangkok and Koh Samui.
The island also offers an array of dental practices which are excellent.
